sometimes I want to smack myself.

Im having a Danny Elfman/Oingo Boingo moment.

To give you some background, a few years ago, my mom and I were discussing music over a movie - probably Nightmare Before Xmas.  Im pretty sure I was living at home and I think it was right around the time I was pregnant with Elijah.  My mom mentioned something about Danny Elfman being in Oingo Boingo.  I had no idea.  Me, in all my 80s glory had no idea.  Needless to say, when I get shocked for something that is "Oh DUH" moment, I call it the Danny Elfman/Oingo Boingo moment.  I really laugh at myself for not knowing that.

So I love movies, I really do, I just don't get to catch many.  While I was staying with Ella over Easter, she bought her husband "Full Metal Jacket".  They insisted I sit down one night and watch it.  Im shocked it took me so long to see it, as Im sure all of you are, especially since I really enjoy Stanley Kubrick.  Anyways, I watched it and enjoyed it in a fully shocking way.

Nothing is on TeeVee tonight, so I flip it on and watch it in between cleaning and surfing the interwoobs.  I decide to IMDB it because I like to read about movies while I watch.  And wouldnt you know it, Pyle is played by none other than Mr. VINCENT D'ONOFRIO!  HOLY CRAP!  I love him.  He plays such great characters.  I still don't see it.  Im going to have to see if it's On Demand because, well, if you've seen it, you know why.  I hate to ruin it for anyone who hasn't.  And he also played Edgar in Men In Black.  Wow, Im pretty ashamed of myself here.  I still love him best in Criminal Intent and Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys.  Im shaking my head at myself right now, really.

And now, go back to your more interesting posts.  I just wanted to give a few of you a good laugh.
