weeeelll, I do have some news. Nothing too good though. He has to be there by Monday, so I am thinking I'll be there sometime within the next week. We'll have to see how it pans out. I'm feeling a lot better about the situation. ALOT. I knew this was going to happen, and well, I'll make the best of things. I can't be pessimistic all the time or else I will just burn out. I had my day of saddness and now it's time to get over it and deal. At least we will have some time together. We'll make due with what we can get. Such is the life of an Army wife. It wasn't just his decision to do this. So I have to just be happy and make a home and do what is best for my son and I.

Thank you so much for your support. I do have a wonderful family (who I spent most the day on the phone with) and my great friends online. Thank you for all the love today. It was much needed. I'll try and keep everyone up to date. But pretty soon (Ill be going insane) I will have no computer. I will do my best to update whenever I find a way, but I'll give you our cell.

*snoogins all*

Im glad you are feeling better
still sending big hugz to you and the kiwi...
So happy things seem to be looking better. I know it's going to be tough but like you said you have your family and your friends! You've been there for me and I simply must return the favor!
Hey! Glad things are looking up at least a little for you. Anyway, keep in touch with me cause I'd love to visit you at Fort Hood! I will be going there on Friday March 21st (but very late at night probably) and I will be there for about 9 days..WOOO! So we have to visit! hehe, well if you want anyway. Oh yeah and thanks for everything this past week, you've helped a lot :)
We will always be here in thick or thin, Tina. Sometimes life sucks, but there is always a reason something happens. We love you and Keith and little guy lots.

I saw your post in the Military spouses community and hope you don't mind me replying here. I no longer post there, long story.

My husband was stationed at Ft. Hood for the better part of 10 years. He retired in October 2002.

Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Harker Heights are the nearest cities. Harker Heights tends to have a higher cost of living than the other two. Cove is fairly quiet community with a high police presence. Killeen is the largest of the three.

Hood has two large commissaries, a general merchandise PX, and another PX that sells furniture, electronics, and sporting goods. They have a library with computer access, but I'm not sure if it's full access to the net or not.

There's Darnall ACH on post and BAMC (Brooke Army Medical Center) at Fort Sam Houston, just outside San Antonio.
